JAPANESE Ambassador to Zambia, H.E. Mr. Ryuta MIZUUCHI has praised KAIZEN Institute of Zambia Limited (KiZ) for interpreting the KAIZEN Concept into local languages in order to reach out to more people.

Mr. MIZUUCHI also described the KiZ offices as “neatly kept in line with transparent workplans and goals.”

Speaking when he virtually addressed the 2021 National KAIZEN Conference at Lusaka’s Mulungushi International Conference Centre on Thursday, March 18, the ambassador said “I truly felt like sending at least some of my staff to the Institute to have them decently trained so that they will also improve their outputs.”

“…and I totally agreed with Mr. Mwitwa (KiZ CEO) when he said; “To improve the performance of the Zambian industry, people should not shy away from challenging the status quo”,” Mr. MIZUUCHI said.

He congratulated the Kanyama Level One Hospital and StrongPak Teams for winning Platinum Awards at the International Convention on Quality Controls Circles held in Dhakka in December last year.

He observed that the outstanding achievement of Kaizen Initiative in Zambia lied in the fact that each year, a number of local teams won prizes at the International Competition.

“Let us hope that this year’s Zambian teams will prove to be at least as successful as last year’s two teams that I mentioned,” the ambassador said.
